Thanks

Thanks for the comments on the last post, especially from those of you who have been coming here for a while and seem to be still coming back even though I haven’t been posting much recently except self-promotion. I have to figure out how to write the blog and work intently on the new novel, a book that’s part-autobiographical—me at 50 years old as seen through the eyes of me at 34, who’s also in the book as well. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, check out Magazine Man’s recent entries: a crazy-heroic, beautiful story about rescuing his dog. Start here and read up.

Update: speaking of self-promotion, here’s a nice review at Compulsive Reader.

Hey brother, thanks for the linkage. Always means a lot when a real writer takes the time to read, let alone plug, my stuff. I'm seriously considering expanding this one into book form. If I do, you're getting a signed copy.

best, mm

Thanks for the link. I just like to check in and see how things are going with the book. I think it's awesome when someone you (sort of) know makes it and I like to cheer them on.

A couple nights ago, I dreamed that I met you, Henry Baum. You were serving coffee in a coffee shop. I agonized over whether to introduce myself, what with your being a celebrity and all. Then I did, and you were very friendly. Your wife was only 16 years old though. And she didn't look anything like she does on her blog. What's up with that? Pervert. But thanks for being friendly when you gave me my coffee.

Th-th-th-thong.... Ok, sorry what? Oh yeah, it's cool, man. Thanks for being awesome. I dig it when you promote yourself.

I'm confused. Some days I want to start up again--I even have posts written. Other days, I don't want it to take up so much of my time. I don't want to start up again unless I'm really sure I'm going to stay with it.
