The new design. I love doing stuff like this. Still tweaking it. I got the template from this designer. It was incredibly easy to set up.
Update: It wasn’t so easy as when I started. I’ve fixed some things. Over and over again. Please let me know if you’re having trouble loading the site.

Henry, now that I'm at home and using Safari, almost all is well. The formatting is pretty. However, apostrophes are converted into little strings of odd characters. Specifically: รข€™
Are you trying to trademark the apostrophe?
I’ve been in touch with the designer who said this: "If your Safari-using friend wants to be able to see the page properly, s/he will have to select Preferences from the Safari menu, go to the Appearance tab, and change the default encoding to Unicode (UTF-8). This should solve the problem." Also trying to work out the problem with IE crashing.
Thanks to that advice, no more apostrophe problems here. I think the encoding I did have in place didn't understand slanty apostrophes, and just displayed the text of whatever strange code calls for them in the HTML.
New design looks great - displays fine in Firefox. Good job!
I like having comments on the same page as the post. Also, sometimes Haloscan doesn't work.
