I finished something. Another layering of guitar song, for the rock opera/concept record. Dark, but then the end of the world is dark. Two songs together, with some Soufjan Stevens-style cultish singing at the end.

How do record the acoustic guitar? Be specific. Everytime I try, it ends up sounding like someone whacking a garbage can full of pennies with a rake.

I use a Shure 57 direct into my recorder: the Boss BR-8, or berate. I record in a closet just big enough for me and a guitar. My dream is to get a 16-track or something better to get more separation of the guitar parts.
