Bunnies
This picture comes from a book of my daughter’s called "Bunnies and their Hobbies." Teaching young children that work is depressing.
My daughter’s out of daycare for Passover break. She goes to a Jewish daycare center, if I haven’t mentioned it, and she comes back singing songs in Hebrew. She knows this whole other language that we can’t understand. Every Friday she comes home with a roll of Challah bread. She loves it there. Every time I turn around there’s another holiday. I can’t blog much while she’s out.

Are you intentionally raising her Jewish or was it just the best daycare available?
what sad bunnies...and what a sad statement.
work needn't be depressing! I love my work and my job.
Those bunnies need to be drawn proud and happy.
I fuckin hate my job. I see those bunnies every day on the F train.
The only thing worse than having a job that sucks is looking for a new job that you know will suck just a little less.
We’re not raising her Jewish. The daycare center is around the corner from our apartment and it came recommended. I don’t mind at all that she’s going to a religious daycare center. She’s 2 and a half and can speak two languages.
I may not be religious but this Saturday I am going to a Seder at my brother’s mother-in-law’s house. Pray for me.
She knows Hebrew, celebrates the holy holidays, and we’re going to a Seder? I’ll believe we’re not raising her Jewish when we stop!

cool. cool that you stay home with her. cool that you read to her. cool that she's learning language and spirituality. i hope you post about the seder. have you ever been to one before?
I've been to a number of Jew-like things in my life but this family is really formal about it. I went last year. They gave Olivia a placemat with a picture of Egypt on it along with stickers of frogs, locusts, and other plagues.
Bon appetit, Kimberly. Nothing escapes me. Thanks for your cool thoughts.
Damn, and here I thought all bunnies did was make more bunnies. You almost never see THAT in kids' books today...
good lord, you're a maniac with this thing. i deleted it because i read your post wrong. i thought you said the placemat had pictures of egypt and plagues on it. interesting theme for a placemat.
